The Northern
Heathcote & Co awarded CMJ with their 2nd contract to convert a large featureless space within Bolton Town Hall into a restaurant / bar – very much a blank canvas to work from. The brief was to create an interior with a nod to life past and present in the North. CMJ designed and installed a elongated Milton tiled bar and open kitchen servery counter.
In keeping with the NeoClassical building we added ‘Cobbled street’ Axminster carpet with a large faux stained glass window. New booths, antique oak hide chairs, bespoke dominoes tables and William Morris upholsteries and wallcoverings helped formulate the mood.
Large montages of Bolton celebrities past and present adorn the walls with antique clogs and an antique bowler hat. An amazing transformation as can be seen on the before and after photos
